With DAMSO QALF TOUR, a unique video scenography immerses the audience in a constantly evolving visual environment. With each song, DAMSO's universe unfolds in the form of monumental illusions, sometimes abstract, sometimes figurative, which convey the emotional and narrative power of his music. These visual tableaux, orchestrated with choreographic rigor, follow one another and intertwine, sculpting the stage space with a new energy. They create total immersion and renew the concert experience.
CONTEXT
STROBOSCOPE was invited by Samuel Chatain to create the visual narrative to accompany the live performance of this giant of the rap scene. This visual work aims to translate and amplify, in a volumetric manner, the lyrics and songs, while remaining in harmony with the artist's stage performance. The goal is to convey, to an audience of several thousand spectators, the essence of the music and words unfolding around DAMSO on stage.
ARTISTIC DIRECTION
Considered one of the most talented artists of his generation, DAMSO fuses urban poetry, introspection, and reflections on human relationships and society. His melancholy blends with the raw power of beats, while his sonic worlds oscillate between rap and electronic influences. It is this vast and deeply sensitive artistic palette that STROBOSCOPE, in partnership with Cutback Studio, has chosen to visually translate.
These paintings feature multiple energies. Varied aesthetics (abstract, figurative, generative, etc.). In dialogue with DAMSO, these creations nourish the narrative structure of the live performance and enrich the audience's immersive experience. Through a range of tools and techniques (point clouds, animated images, 2D, 3D, etc.), QALF TOUR transforms into a visual and sensory extension of music.
